End this year on a high note at The Montenotte Hotel, with tables for a maximum of 6 guests (from no more than 3 households, as we adhere to current government guidelines) Please note, we will be catering for residents only on Friday & Saturday nights for the first 3 weeks of December.

Our festive December menu has been created by our new executive chef Tabrez Shaikh with locally sourced ingredients at a price of €45 per person. Paired with our resident pianist playing, you can look forward to truly Christmas feeling this December. Now that’s magic….

RE-IMAGINE “GLOW”

The annual Glow Christmas Festival has been re-imagined this year. A series of panto-themed installations in vacant shop windows will provide an artistic trail for families throughout the city, creating a Covid-proofed city centre attraction. The event will also include the installation of the famous Cork Ferris Wheel.

ARDÚ WALKING/AUDIO TOUR

Ardú is a Street Art Initiative celebrating Cork city's traditions, history, resolution, and art. This December, explore these bright and brilliant murals on Ardú Street Art walking tour. This FREE tour will bring you to the seven Ardú Street Art locations, led by the artists and organisers. Pre-book at Arducork.ie from the 1st of December. 

Or explore the murals with a self-guided audio tour starting from Wandesford Quay. Visit the Ardú map, and stream information on each of the murals and artists from Soundcloud links (smartphone and headphones required). 

FESTIVE OPENING TIMES

The Montenotte Hotel and The Bellevue Spa are closed from 5.00pm on the 24th of December and shall re open on the 27th December

We will be catering for residents only in Panorama Bistro & Terrace on Friday & Saturday nights for the first 3 weeks of December. Also, there will be limited availability in Panorama Bistro & Terrace from 27th December to the 30th December.

Modern research is showing us that making even the slight adjustments to the way we inhale, and exhale can halt allergies, asthma and autoimmune disease and even rejuvenate internal organs and improve overall health.

What is considered as medically normal today is anywhere from twelve to twenty breaths a minute. The key to optimum breathing for our health, endurance and longevity benefits is to practice fewer inhales and exhales in smaller volumes. We need to practice slow breathing and aim for 5.5 breaths per minute.

Yes… the largest Sculpture Exhibition in Ireland is now open at The Montenotte Hotel

A stunning Sculpture Exhibition has been installed at our hotel this week, here at The Montenotte Hotel, in the sunken Victorian Gardens and will be on-site for the next four weeks, in association with the prestigious amazing The Kildare Gallery.

In keeping with our company’s commitment to support Irish art and culture, 38 sculptures by 18 Irish artists, including Bob Quinn, Stephanie Hess and Donnacha Cahill have now adorned the gardens. The works range in themes, scale and materials including ceramic, bronze, bog oak and copper steel.
