In November 2018, The Montenotte Hotel team, one of Cork’s freshest boutique hotels, celebrated our tenth industry award win, firmly putting us on the map as one of the best boutique hotels in Ireland. The accolades range from Cork Hotel of the Year at The Business Cork Awards, to the most recent award win, The Most Stylish Hotel 2018 at the Hi Style Awards.

Hi’s Most Stylist Hotel 2018 @ Hi 2018 Style Awards

In January 2018, The Montenotte collected an award for 4 Star Boutique Hotel of the Year 2018 at the European Luxury Travel Awards. This was followed by an accreditation and honour from the Irish Accommodation Service Institute, and the award for Best Cork Hotel 2017 presented by the Cork Business Association.
In the latter half of the year, the hotel won AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence 2018, Cork Hotel of the Year 2018 at The Business Cork Awards #BestinCork18, and Hi’s Most Stylish Hotel at the 2018 Hi Awards. The Montenotte was also shortlisted to the final three for the Conde Nast Johansens Hotel Newcomer for Ireland & the UK 2018
The team at The Montenotte have also been acknowledged for their work in the industry with the Hotel General Manager, Brian Bowler, inducted as a member of the Irish Hospitality Institute College of Fellows, Helena O’Brien, Hotel Sales and Marketing manager, was the recipient of the Sales & Marketing Manager of the Year 2018 at the Irish Hospitality Institute Awards 2018, and her colleague, Amanda Connolly, was a finalist for the Revenue Manager of the Year at the Irish Hospitality Institute Awards 2018.

Having recently undergone a renovation, The Montenotte Hotel has been enhanced in size, but it remains boutique in style and décor. Did you know that the modern holiday of Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908! Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother at St Andrew's Methodist Church in West Virginia which now holds the International Mother's Day Shrine. Her campaign to make Mother's Day a recognized holiday in the United States began in 1905 as she wanted to tribute her mother by continuing the work she started and to set aside a day to honour all mothers because she believed a mother is "the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world".

St Patrick's Break in Cork City
