We are so proud to now reveal our panoramic rooftop bar, The Glasshouse. High on everyone’s bucket list when visiting Cork is to take in the breath-taking views from our Panorama Terrace. As we constantly evolve creating memorable experiences for our guests, we have now opened ‘The Glasshouse’, with uninterrupted views of Cork city and county.
The Glasshouse has been designed with creativity, delivering a distinctively eclectic vibe, full of fun and offers an experience like no other. Our aim is to elevate the experience for you our guests, offering an architecturally designed, art-deco inspired setting for you to enjoy the very best of Cork hospitality.
STYLISH COCKTAILS & DRINKS
While taking in the views, guests can enjoy a range of exclusive botanical themed cocktails inspired by our Victorian sunken gardens that surround The Glasshouse.
Close attention has been given to every detail from the show-stopping glass exterior, custom-built bridge, central courtyard, to the bespoke art-deco inspired interiors and our enticing cocktail and drinks menus. Everything about this rooftop bar oozes high-end sophistication and will offer an exclusive appeal, the perfect location for pre or post dinner drinks as you enjoy the wonderful views of Cork. We do not take reservations for The Glasshouse. The Glasshouse operates on a first come, first served basis, however we do respectively wish to advise that due to the increasingly high demand on Friday & Saturday’s especially at the hotel, we do have to look after our hotel residents first and cannot guarantee our non-resident guests a table in The Glasshouse. We will do our very best to accommodate most requests and will be subject to availability.
OUTDOOR TERRACE
To access The Glasshouse, guests are led from our Panorama Terrace, down a sweeping staircase and over a purpose-built glass bridge to the terrace of The Glasshouse which boosts stunning soft pink outdoor furnishings and uninterrupted views of Cork city and county.
Our signature cocktail “The Royale Rose” is made with our new bespoke Montenotte Gin, fresh strawberry purée, lemon juice and egg white foam, served with a simple shot of Prosecco on the side and is a treat just waiting to be enjoyed for when you visit us at The Glasshouse.
MONTENOTTE GIN
Give the gift of our specially commissioned Montenotte Gin. Our specially commissioned Montenotte Gin was created in early 2021, in a partnership with Blackwater Distillery. A joined project where the inspiration taken from our Sunken Victorian Garden was married with an expertise of the Head Distiller at Blackwater.
This specially commissioned gin has a unique character and flavour with an impressive depth of woody, fruity and floral flavours.
A combination of elements, amongst other botanicals - fragrant lavender, robust rhubarb, punchy pink peppercorn and wild cardamon are subtly infused to perfection.
Our gin bottle is presented in a beautiful, bespoke presentation box complete with its concept origin and some delicious pairing suggestions including our signature cocktail recipe from our Bar Manager Gaëtan.
Our Montenotte Gin Presentation Box retails at €70 and is available to purchase directly from the hotel reception.
OPENING HOURS
The Glasshouse is open Thursday through to Sunday from 16:00 until late
The Glasshouse is open to both residents of the hotel and non-residents, and reservations are not required, tables are available, subject to availability.
