Sunken Victorian Garden
After a busy day, be it at meetings or shopping in Cork city, we invite you to wander through our sunken Victorian garden during your stay and enjoy the aromatic scents of lavender, myrtle and rosemary while the soothing sound of our fountain relaxes both mind and body.
The original building of The Montenotte Hotel was formerly home to a Merchant Prince of Cork over 200 years ago, and it's heritage was reaffirmed when the sunken Victorian garden were rediscovered in early 2017. The wonder of this secret garden was hidden due to overgrowth but thanks to a labour of love, our landscape gardeners have restored this unique feature to its former glory for guests to enjoy.
The Gardens were designed by Dominik Cullinane from Dominik Cullinane Garden Designs. We have an amazing Team of three Gardeners here at The Montenotte Hotel.
