Yes you do. For all guests checking into at The Montenotte Hotel, we require an in-person credit card where we will take a pre-autorisation to the value of your stay along with a small supplement to cover incidentals and to allow for charging to your room during your stay.

Book with peace of mind at The Montenotte Hotel. We understand that at the moment more than ever plans can be impacted last minute, so we offer free cancellation 24 hours prior to arrival.

DINING AT THE MONTENOTTE HOTEL

WHAT TIME IS BREAKFAST?
6:30 to 10:30 Monday to Friday 07:00 to 11:00 Saturday, Sunday and BH Monday. Please note, we are only able to accommodate the residents of the hotel at present. We now offer both an extensive Hot & Cold Breakfast Buffet which is self-service. You can also order from our A La Carte Breakfast menu if you would prefer to do from the comfort of your own dining table.

DO YOU HAVE A RESTAURANT?
Yes, The Panorama Bistro & Terrace serves delicious dishes using local produce, has a relaxed ambience and panoramic views of Cork City & our Victorian Gardens. Lunch is available from 12.30 to 16.30, or Dinner is available from 17.00 to 21.45. The menus, curated by our new Executive Chef Tabrez Shaikh, offer a great selection of starters, main courses and indulgent desserts to choose from. We also have an extensive Drinks Menu.

DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR THE RESTAURANT?
We recommend you make a reservation, as our Panorama Bistro can be extremely busy. We do however welcome walk-ins if we are able to accommodate you.

ARE YOU TAKING DINING BOOKINGS FROM NON-RESIDENTS?

Based on the current government guidelines and the evolving situation, we have decided not to operate indoor-dining for non-residents until further notice.

WHAT TIME IS THE PANORAMA BISTRO OPEN UNTIL?
As a guest of the hotel, you can dine with us from 12:30 to 16:00 and from 17:00 to 21:30 for last orders. In compliance with current Government guidelines, we are permitted to serve drinks and beverages until 23:00 with the bar area closed at 23:30.

CAN YOU BOOK A TABLE ON THE TERRACE?
Unfortunately, due to the uncertainly of weather in Ireland we do not take reservations for the Terrace and operate on a first come first come basis. We try our very best to accommodate any guests who wish to sit on our Terrace. 

IS IT A DRINKS ONLY  SERVICE IN THE GLASSHOUSE?

Yes, while taking in the views, you can enjoy a range of exclusive botanical themed cocktails inspired by our Victorian sunken gardens that surround The Glasshouse.

DO YOU OFFER AFTERNOON TEA?
Afternoon Tea is served in the Panorama Bistro from 12:30 to 15:00, Monday to Saturday for residents of the hotel.

DO YOU CATER FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
Yes, we do cater for dietary requirements. Please note, for Afternoon Tea bookings with dietary requirements, bookings must be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance

DO YOU OFFER ROOM SERVICE?
We offer room service 24 hours day and serve a limited size menu 22:00 to 06:30. Please note, room service is not available to the Residence Apartments. 

ARE CHILDREN ACCOMMODATED IN THE PANORAMA BISTRO & TERRACE?
Children are welcome in Panorama Bistro & Terrace until 9.00pm. Please note children under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian

DO YOU HAVE FAMILY ROOMS AVAILABLE?
Yes, our family rooms consist of 2 double beds and accommodate a maximum of 2 adults & 2 children. Alternatively, we have our 2 Bedroom Self Catering apartments available. Please call +353 (0) 21 4530050 and our reservations team would be happy to advise you on what would best suit your family.

DO YOU HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ROOMS? Yes, we have 3 fully accessible rooms at the hotel which are all our Boutique twin rooms. Please contact the hotel in advance should you require one of these rooms.

DO YOU HAVE SELF-CATERING APARTMENTS?
Yes, our luxury Residence Apartments at The Montenotte Hotel, offer a fully equipped kitchen, open plan dining room & sitting room and are fully self-catering. We offer a selection of 1-bedroom apartments suitable for 2 guests and 2-bedroom apartments suitable for up to 4 guests.

ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING WITH ANY CHARITIES?

Yes, we will be taking part in the 2021 Focus Ireland Shine a Light Night on Friday 15th October as “Cork Business Leaders”. Our General Manager Brian Bowler & Director of Sales & Marketing Ray Kelleher will be sleeping out on Spike Island, Cork harbour for the night, where over the coming weeks, we as a hotel team will fundraise for Focus Ireland. Yes, the award-winning Bellevue Spa with 6 treatment rooms and a relaxation room located in the original house, home of the Merchant Prince of Cork. DO YOU HAVE A HEALTH CLUB?
Yes, the Motion Health Club is available for the residents of the hotel to use. Facilities include 20 metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a fully equipped gym with cardio machines, weights and gym floor area. Pre-booking of a timeslot is essential, please contact motion@themontenottehotel.com to reserve your time. This can be done up to 7 days prior to your arrival. DO YOU HAVE A POOL? Yes, we have a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, located in Motion Health Club.

CAMEO CINEMA

DO YOU HAVE A CINEMA?
Yes, the Cameo Cinema is our luxury inhouse cinema. We show movies at 17.00 & 21:00 Monday to Friday and 17.00 & 20:00 Saturday and Sunday. Spaces are available on first come, first served basis and face coverings are compulsory to wear in the cinema. Movie listing is displayed at the hotel reception. Cameo cinema is complimentary for the residents of the hotel. The cinema is strictly for over 18’s.

CAN NON-RESIDENTS VISIT THE CINEMA? Cameo Cinema Club and Dinner & a Movie packages for non-residents will resume in early 2022, subscribe to our Cameo Cinema Club Newsletter to be the first to know.

WHAT ARE THE BEST SEATING TIMES TO ENJOY DINNER & A MOVIE?  To ensure you will not miss the start of the movie, we recommend the following times for dinner:  Monday to Friday at 18:30, 18:45, 19:00 or 19:15 with the film starting at 9.00pm and Saturday and Sunday at 17:00, 17:45, 18:00 or 18:15 with the film starting at 20:00.

Whilst we were closed during the lockdown at the start of the year, our amazing Food & Beverage team worked tirelessly behind the scenes with Blackwater Distillery to create our very own Montenotte Gin inspired by our Victorian gardens.

WE ARE THRILLED TO INTRODUCE THE LATEST ARTIST IN RESIDENCE 'CHECKING IN' TO THE MONTENOTTE HOTEL

Continuing with our long-standing heritage and commitment to supporting the arts and creating memorable experiences for our guests, we are delighted to announce that the latest Artist in Residence ‘checking in’  at the hotel, is a collection by the renowned contemporary artist Peter Dee who is showcasing his first ever solo exhibition here at The Montenotte Hotel.

The exhibition will take place in the hotel until January 2022 as part of our Artist in Residence programme, in association with The Gallery Kinsale which is now in its fourth year running. The programme aims to support local Irish artists by offering a six month tenure to showcase at the hotel, where guests and visitors can peruse and enjoy at their leisure.

Well hello 2021, 6 months in……………as we reflect back on a the first 6 months of a year like no other, which will in time be a “moment in history”… we had a look at the NUMBERS THAT MATTERED to us. As the old gameshow was 15 to 1, we have gone with 20,000 to 1 in our look back on the first 6 months of 2021 for all things The Montenotte Hotel as we prepared to reopen the hotel again to the our valued guests on the 2nd June.
